Facilitated by the Innovation360 Executive Director, the i360 Parenting Group is an 8-week therapeutic process designed to provide family members with compassionate support around the unique nature and experience of parenting an older teen or young adult with personality, mood, thought or substance use disorders. Participants will explore the way they think of themselves, their child, and the relationship. Informed by this work, attendees will develop an individualized strategy for creating productive movement in areas such as self-reliance, appropriate connectedness, boundaries and communication. Participants will receive homework weekly and attendance to all sessions is strongly recommended.
The Rising Strong™ Workshop
The Rising Strong™ Workshop is based on the groundbreaking research of Dr. Brené Brown and her resulting book Rising Strong: The Reckoning, The Rumble, The Revolution. After years of research, Brené discovered how people (the brave and broken hearted) fall down yet are able to rise strong. Rising Strong™ is based on the simple physics of vulnerability: If we are brave enough, often enough, we will fall. Having resiliency is what helps us get back up again and keep going.
This is a curriculum about what it takes to get back up and how owning our stories of struggle gives us the power to write a daring new ending. Struggle can be our greatest call to courage and the clearest path to a wholehearted life.
The Daring Way™ Workshop
The Daring Way™ curriculum is based on the research of Brené Brown, Ph.D. LMSW. Dr. Brené Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent the past twelve+ years studying vulnerability, courage, worthiness, and shame.
The primary focus of this personal growth workshop is on developing shame resilience skills and embracing the courage that will transform the way we live, love, parent and lead. In the safety of a small group, we explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame and worthiness.
We look at the thoughts, emotions and behaviors that hold us back from living fuller lives. We identify new choices and practices that will help move us to greater authenticity and whole-hearted living.
